CLUB RULES
Hot Wells Skeet League Rules:
Rock Creek Skeet Club members are expected to follow published rules provided by Hot Wells regarding the league. National Skeet Shooting Rules are observed during the league shoots. The home page of this blog provides a link to those rules.
In addition to the Hot Wells Rules the Rock Creek Skeet Club has rules that are listed below:
Makeup Rounds:
A club member is highly encouraged to shoot with his squad at his scheduled time. It is understandable that due to business travel, sickness and other reasons a person may need to miss his regular scheduled night. The President and board members have the right to penalize a team who try to take advantage of missing scheduled shooting times in favor of shooting in daylight hours.
Substitute Shooters:
Teams/Squad members are not allowed substitute shooters for the Polar Bear and Championship League.
Rules violations and infractions will be reviewed and voted on by the rules committee with results posted to the web-blog.
Awards:
Team awards/badges will be given for the following leagues:
Polar Bear League
First Place Only
Polar Bear League team award is based upon the RAW score posted on I-Clays.
Spring/Summer Championship League
First Place Only
Spring/Summer League team awards are based upon RAW scores posted on I-Clays.
Individual awards will be given for the following:
Top Gun
All Star Team (top 5 averages)
Crappy Shooter
Most Improved (based upon shooters average over the past two seasons)
Rookie of the Year
Novelty Awards
Individual awards are based on RAW scores posted on the I-Clays website. For a member to be eligible for an individual award he must shoot the entire regular RCSC season. Exceptions to this is the Crappy Shooter award. The Rules Committee may present to a member if it is determined that the shooter dropped to avoid the coveted award.
DUES:
Club dues are $50 per year per individual shooter or $75 per family. Club dues are collected in January of each year and must be paid prior to the start of the Polar Bear League. Members who join during the regular season must also pay the full dues amount. The rules committee can waive or reduce the membership fee if a new member joins during the last 6 weeks of the season or later in the year. Membership dues go towards the purchase of awards and annual party.
Non resident (guest members) that are allowed will pay a $50 membership upon Rules Committee review.
YOUTH MEMBERS:
The formation of Youth Squads is encouraged. Youth squads will shoot on a different night then the regular scheduled league night so that parents can supervise, mentor and enjoy watching them shoot. A Youth Squad member must have a parent that is a regular RCSC member. It is expected that a Youth member will have received adequate safety and firearms handling skills prior to joining a squad
.MEMBERSHIP:
Membership is limited to residents of Rock Creek. The rules committee may elect to allow a guest shooter(guest member) from outside Rock Creek to fill a squad if a resident shooter cannot be found. Preference will be given to prior members who no longer live in Rock Creek.
